POKOTABI / VAULT COFFEE
VAULTCOFFEE
VAULT COFFEE is known for Colombian coffee co-fermented with lemon and substantial cinnamon toast. Choose a coffee by its distinctive flavour and take a breather in Akihabara.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
One drinker described the Colombian coffee co-fermented with lemon as sweet, with subtle tartness and bitterness. VAULT COFFEE also offers a co-fermented Geisha made with fruit juices such as lemon and yeast. Its menu describes jasmine-like aromas layered with citrus, apricot and mint, followed by a brown-sugar-like finish. It is a distinctive choice for those who enjoy exploring how a coffee’s flavours unfold from sip to sip.
For a comparison of different beans, the original Vault Blend has bright, orange-like acidity, while the Toscanini offers a caramel-like texture and gentle acidity. Those who prefer a darker roast can try the charcoal-roasted coffee, described as having a dark-chocolate-like body and a soft, vanilla-like finish. There are options to suit different tastes, from bright acidity to mellow sweetness and deep richness.
If you fancy something sweet, cinnamon toast is a popular choice in customer reviews. One visitor wrote that a slice about as thick as a finger was surprisingly filling; another recalled that it was a generous portion alongside cake. Pair it with coffee, or choose cake if you want a lighter sweet bite: one review described the cake as not too rich and moderately sweet.
Visitors stopping by between shopping trips in Akihabara have also mentioned the café as a quiet place to take a break. It is on the 3 floor of a building in Sotokanda and is described as suitable for solo diners.
